Book Report: Touching Spirit Bear
A long time ago I read this book called "Touching Spirit Bear", it was for a school assignment. I will summarize the main events of this book, while not spoiling it. The main character, Cole, is a troubled person, and has anger issues at everything he sees. One day, he decides to bully Peter Driscal, who decided to report a crime that Cole did. He smashes Peter's head, and leaves hanging Peter there, half-dead. He then has 2 choices, jail or this association called the "Circle Justice" which believes that isolation and peace can lead to healing of the mind. Cole chooses Circle Justice, because he thinks he can escape the island he is being sent to later. Garvey, his adviser and councilor, tells him to be careful and serious, but as usual Cole ignores him. What will Cole do when he gets there? Read the book to find out more.
(Spoiler Alert) The summary of this book is that a peace of mind can lead to healing, and change can happen. Cole learns that healing is important, and that he has changed throughout the book. He also later becomes a guidance for Peter, who later is mentally disturbed after his concussion. He leads many people to healing and becomes from a troubled boy to a great councilor.
